The Nominating Committee will be very busy in January as it finalizes its recommendations to the Annual Meeting. It is the job of the Nominating Committee to seek out people who are willing to serve on the Trondhjem Church Council, the Audit Committee, and the Nominating Committee. Please be open to the possibility of serving if you are contacted by one of us.
One of the positions on the Council that will be open in 2012 is a position that relates to Worship, Music, and the Arts. This position has been open during the last year. The person serving in this role will work with Pastor Howard in overseeing our worship life. Altar care, acolytes, and other worship assistants are part of the responsibility of this committee. It also oversees the music program, which is led by volunteer and paid staff.
The Nominating Committee is looking for those who are willing to make the commitment to the church and God’s work. Members of Council need to work together even when their opinions differ, and must remember that they are working together toward the bigger picture, which is God’s work.
