Necklace w/Locket Terinee Stangler

We do not earn Grace, but are given it as a gift.  Sometimes we need a reminder that we did nothing to deserve it.  To help us remember, we will be making necklaces with lockets on them.  The locket is to remind us that no matter what we keep hidden inside, God still loves us deeply and helps us as we carry our burdens.

Our guest speaker is Lori Koch.  Here is her story…

Her Story:

We are so blessed to have Rev. Dr. Karoline Lewis as our guest speaker this year!

She is a lively Luther Seminary Professor who is passionate about the book of John.   Her newest book is SHE: Five Keys to Unlock the Power of Women in Ministry (Abingdon, March 2016).

Ordained in the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America, Lewis holds degrees from Northwestern University (B.A.), Luther Seminary (M.Div.), and Emory University (Ph.D., New Testament Studies and Homiletics).

Lewis regularly leads conferences, workshops, and retreats throughout the country and Canada on interpreting the Bible, preaching, and women in ministry. She is a contributing writer for, author of the site’s Dear Working Preacher column, and co-host of the site’s weekly podcast, Sermon Brainwave that you will learn much from.

Trondhjem Church Ladies

All women are warmly invited to participate in any and all of these activities.  The “core group” of women is small, but dedicated and welcoming to all.  We meet the third Tuesday during the months of September to May for fellowship and a short Bible study or a related topic of discussion.  If we have an upcoming event we’ll discuss and finalize plans.

Our group is very informal. Basically it’s like getting together with your sisters or girlfriends. It’s a great way to meet and get better acquainted with women at Trondhjem.

In the past we’ve had Mother/Daughter Banquets, Craft Fairs, Taste Luncheons and classes on knitting, felting, card stamping and jewelry making.

We’d really enjoy seeing you at our meetings. Please come and share your thoughts on what would make this evening one that would be meaningful to you and to other. We meet the third Tuesday of the month at 7:00 p.m, September through May.
