55+ Plans Event for All

The 55+ group would like to invite you to a very special event on July 14th at 6:30PM at Trondhjem Church. Carrie Smisek, who is on summer break from Wartburg College in Iowa, spent three weeks this spring doing a study trip to Israel. During this trip she kept a blog and took many photos. She was able to go to an archeological dig, see Bethlehem and many other places where Jesus walked. We will be able to see her photos on a large screen.  and Carrie will share some of her experiences with us. The 55+ group felt that this was just too good to keep to ourselves, so we want to invite you all to come and spend this exciting night with Carrie. We will have coffee and bars for your enjoyment also.

For the last couple of months the fellowship committee has been organizing a potluck Sunday once a month.  And so far, I’ve been hearing good reviews and smelling great dishes!  I think it’s amazing to see the tables overflowing with dishes made to share.  So to see how creative our members can be I thought to try a “themed” potluck for this month.  In honor of Independence Day, the July potluck dish should be either red, white or blue.  Or ALL three!  You decide.  I can’t wait to see what dishes are brought!

 So between now and July 24th, get your creative juices flowing.

The next potluck will be May 22nd after the 10am service. Please join us, eat and visit with other members and enjoy some wonderful dishes!

Join us this Saturday, April 9th for The Gathering of Friends Antique Market, Backmann Idea House Tour and lunch at Patrick’s Bakery and Cafe!

Join us for a bingo night/potluck tonight, January 22nd at 6 o’clock.  What is better on a chilly winter evening than a good ole’ Lutheran Potluck and some fun fellowship? 

Bring a dish to pass and white elephant prizes if you wish.

We’re Minnesotans, so don’t let the cold stop you!  We’ll even have the fireplace warming up the room for you!
