Trondhjem Lutheran Church

Dear Members and Friends of Trondhjem:

Through God’s graciousness we are given the ability to be generous.  Through God’s graciousness we are given our life, our families, our talents and skills, and all the things of life.  Now is the time in Trondhjem’s church year to make a commitment to how we will respond to God’s graciousness.  Now is the opportunity to make a commitment to support Trondhjem’s ministries and to pay for our building’s mortgage.

Our Stewardship appeal begins now and culminates on Sunday, October 30.  On that day you will have the opportunity to return a response card indicating how much you hope to give and plan to give in 2012.  Our responses will help in part to determine our ministries in the coming year.  Your response is important and needed.

Please consider these questions in the coming weeks:

What does my faith in God mean to me?

What does Jesus Christ mean to me?

What does Trondhjem Lutheran Church mean to me?

Based on your answers to these questions, you will be able to make a new commitment to God and a new commitment to God’s mission that is carried out here at Trondhjem.  There will be two areas of response.  One is for our Mission and Ministry.  The other is for our Mortgage.

Please consider and pray about your response.  Think about all that God has given you in this life.  Then, be prepared to return your response on October 30.

This Sunday, December 12, is the day we hope to have all of the “stewardship response cards” turned in.  They can be mailed back to the church office so they arrive by Sunday.  Or, they can be brought to church on Sunday and placed in the offering.

Please remember that what is written on the cards is between you and God.  No one will be reading what is written on the card.  It will be mailed back to you with the first giving statement of 2011.

One further request:  please write on the back of the envelope a word that comes to your mind when you think of Trondhjem Lutheran Church.  Thank you!
