This Sunday at Trondhjem

The focus this Sunday is on prayer and spirituality.  At the 10 am service there will be expressions of appreciation for all who have been involved in our children’s and youth ministries.  The Sunday School children will recite their memory work from this past year.  AND, new members will be received.  The 8 am service will again be a more traditional and liturgical service.

Between the services and after the 10 am service the Health Fair will take place in the Fellowship Hall.

Sponsor Sunday

Sponsor Sunday is a fundraising event to support our youth’s trip to the ELCA National Youth Gathering in New Orleans this July. Church members will have the opportunity to donate money to the trip in many different ways. For example, you can donate $2 for a bottle of water, $20 for one Airport Shuttle, $500 for an airplane ticket, $4 for a mocha for a chaperone, $5 lunch for one Youth, $35 for one night hotel per youth, $140 for one night hotel per room, $8 for a 2012 ELCA YG T-shirt, etc, etc. Everyone who donates will get a string of Mardi Gras beads to wear.

This idea came from a TLC member comment. Some donors appreciate knowing that every dollar they give goes directly to the cause – expecting nothing in return. These donations will also be noted on your End of the Year Contribution Statement.

This Sunday at Trondhjem: God Seeks the Lost

Do you lose things?  Things that are very valuable?  Jesus uses the parables of the lost sheep and the lost coin to explain how God cares very deeply about those of us who are lost.  This Sunday at Trondhjem we will explore the meaning of these parables and how they apply to our lives.  It is not just things that are lost to us.  Sometimes, it is people who are lost.  Come and join with others as we learn of God’s love that never gives up on those who are lost.
