There is no Women of the ELCA meeting tonight. Though we expect as women we will be doing God’s work in our gardens, at work and with our friends and family throughout this summer. We look forward to gathering as a group in September!
The Prayer Shawl Ministry group is gathering on Thursday evening, March 29th at 6:30 PM. Everyone is welcome! Pick up your needles, hooks and yarn and join us!
Join us on Tuesday evening, January 17th beginning at 6:30 for knitting, crocheting, stitching or even mending while chatting about what shape the women’s group at Trondhjem should take.
If you would like to learn to knit, crochet, or cross stitch, there will be women available to teach. Or if you’re stuck on a project, bring it along and we’ll see if we can help you figure it out. Let me know if there is a skill you’d like to learn so we can make sure you have the proper tools for the trade! (more…)

If you love to knit or crochet, or want to learn by making a Prayer Shawl, please join us on September 27th at 6:30 p.m.
Compassion and the love of knitting (and crochet) have been combined into a prayerful ministry that reaches out to those in need of comfort and solace. Many blessings are knitted into every shawl. The knitter begins each shawl with prayers for the recipient. Prayers are continued throughout the creation of the shawl and in it’s completion.
The Prayer Shawls that we make will be distributed by our Parish Nurse or Pastor Howard. Shawls will be given for people undergoing medical procedures; as a comfort after a loss or in times of stress; during bereavement and/or during an illness and recovery.
We will meet every other month. The first meeting will be for organizing and planning, although I’m sure we will find time to knit and crochet! The following meetings will include time to knit and crochet as well as offering a final blessing on the completed shawls before being sent along their way.
Donations of yarn and funding for yarn will be accepted. The preferred yarn is Lion Brand Homespun which is incredibly soft and comes in many beautiful colors.
May God bless this new ministry to be a blessing to many others!
Please email the church if you have any questions.
