Sunday School Christmas Program

The Sunday School Christmas Program will be held on Sunday, December 11th at 4:00.  The program practice will be on Saturday, Dec. 10th from 9:30-11:30 a.m..

We are looking for parent volunteers to help iron costumes, help line-up students, and help students with their costumes.  If you are able to help, please contact Kim (in the office), Cheryl Pankow, Stacy Hemann, Heather Hoy, or Stacy Holmgren.

We are asking that parents are to bring 1 doz. cookies/bars/treats for refreshments to serve after the Sunday School Christmas program.

Dates to note:

Sat. Dec. 10th: Program practice, 9:30-11:30 a.m.

Sun. Dec. 11th: SS Christmas Program starts at 4:00 p.m.  Students are to arrive at 3:30 p.m.

Sun. Dec. 25th: No Sunday School

Wed. Dec. 28th: No Wednesday activities

Sun. Jan. 1st: No Sunday School

Worship at 9:00AM on October 9th

Worship is at 9:00AM this Sunday and no Sunday school.  That way, we’ll get an early jump on the Fall Festival!  Join us for great food, hay ride, horseback ride, bingo and so much more!!!

Luncheon  10am—2pm:  Norwegian Meatball Dinner

  • With Homemade Gravy
  • Buttered Egg Noodles
  • Grandma’s Green Beans
  • Sweet & Sour Cole Slaw
  • Rye Bread with butter
  • Beverages

$7 adult;   $4 child (10 and under)

Fall Festival this Sunday!

Trondhjem is busy preparing the for Fall Festival, this Sunday, October 9th.  It looks like it will be a beautiful day to be outdoors enjoying the autumnal weather and colors! Who Shapes Our Faith?

Philippians 1:3–5

3 I thank my God every time I remember you, 4 constantly praying with joy in every one of my prayers for all of you, 5 because of your sharing in the gospel from the first day until now.

St. Paul says more positive things about the Philippians and to the Philippians than to any of the other churches he encountered in his missionary journeys.  It is as if they were his favorite congregation.  What struck me this morning was that he thanked God every time he remembered them.  Then, I started thinking.  Who are the people who shared the gospel with me?  Whom do I remember?  What amazes me is that there are people I remember who were significant, but I don’t even remember their names. 6:15 pm – 7:00 pm J-Walkers 6th – 12th Grade
7:00 pm – 7:45 pm 6th – 8th Education & 9th & 10th Grade Confirmation

Buck-a-Chick

We are joining ELCA World Hunger effort by encouraging the children to donate a buck to buy a chick.  It provides a family in need with eggs to eat and sell on the market.  With this we can help a family escape hunger for good.  If the children donate a buck, they can color a buck-a-chick poster and display it in the fellowship hall.  We will be collecting donations the 1st 2 weeks of April so that we can have our posters up on Palm Sunday (Lenten Fair).

The Sunday School Sings!

Singing, Singing and more singing!  Our Sunday School children will be singing at the 10:00am service on March 27th, April 17th and May 15th.  They are enjoying practicing songs right now during our group gathering at the beginning of the Sunday School hour.  For March 27th, we will be singing Praise Him and Oil in My Lamp (with some surprise verses).

Tomorrow: No Choirs and No Sunday School

Weather has only gotten worse since my last post.  There will be no choirs tomorrow and no Sunday School.  EVERYONE…PLEASE BE SAFE.  Don’t travel to Trondhjem if the conditions appear dangerous to you tomorrow morning.  If I cannot make it to Trondhjem, and we cancel our worship services, I will post that tomorrow morning by 7 am.  Keep watching the website.

We are considering having the Sunday School Christmas program during the 10:00 service next weekend.
