Summer worship schedule begins on Sunday, May 29, with one worship service at 9 am.
We gather this evening at 6:30 for our Lenten Worship as we take a look at the book of First Thessalonians. Please join us!
Just a word about our offering tonight. Half of the offering recieved in the special Lenten worship envelopes will go to support “Feed My Starving Children”.

This winter has been one for the records. We hope we will not have to cancel worship or any of our activities for the rest of the season, but we are Minnesota Lutherans and we have the common sense to know that’s a possibility!
There are several ways to check for cancellations:

- Watch for cancellation notice on Fox 9.
Church activities: Our policy is that if any of the area schools cancel or close early, activities at Trondhjem will be cancelled.
Church Worship: It is very rare that we would cancel church. Only at time that it would put our members in danger due to road conditions would we cancel.

There will be no worship services at Trondhjem today. We have had more snow than at any time since the Halloween Blizzard of 1991. The temperature is near ZERO, and the wind chill is -19. My deepest concern is for safety.
Further complications are that I would not know when Garfield Avenue would be plowed, or if our faithful volunteers would have been able to clear our parking lot.
I encourage everyone to stay off the roads until the snow plows have done their work and be careful removing the snow from driveways.
Weather has only gotten worse since my last post. There will be no choirs tomorrow and no Sunday School. EVERYONE…PLEASE BE SAFE. Don’t travel to Trondhjem if the conditions appear dangerous to you tomorrow morning. If I cannot make it to Trondhjem, and we cancel our worship services, I will post that tomorrow morning by 7 am. Keep watching the website.
The short answer is “NO.” In 33 years as a pastor, and all of it in snow country, I have never called off a worship service. I expect to get to church tomorrow morning, but I’ll get up early to see if it is possible. I’m sure it will be, but watch the website for more details.
I am counting on everyone to use their own common sense about safety. If it is too dangerous for you to venture out in this weather, please stay home, safe and sound. (more…)
